These hairstyles are ideal for many occasions from weddings to dinner dates to just an average day. There is no longer an excuse for your hair to look anything less than phenomenal. These glam hairstyles really are that simple, and you can try one out right now. However, if you’ve washed your hair today, some of these options will be ruled out for the next 24 hours. Now, grab the bobby pins, some elastic bands, and hairspray, and let’s get started!

Bridal Hair

Bridal-HairThis glamorous hairstyle is incredibly easy to do and will make you look like a princess in no time. You will need to curl your hair with hot rollers, tease the crown of your hair, and section out your bangs. Take the left side of your hair and twist it towards the middle, then use a bobby pin to clasp it. Repeat the same process on the right side of your hair, allowing the looser strands to stay in the center.

With the strands that are not yet clasped down, divide them into three sections For each part that you sectioned off, twist your hair up and roll it into place before clasping it down. You will likely want to add an accessory to your hair; if so, clip one in now. To finish, spray your hair with shaper so that it holds in place.

Half Up-Do

Half-Up-DoThis half up-do is a beautiful look for any occasion. You can wear this at a big event, at work, or even just when you’re dropping the kids off at school. To get started, you will need a curling iron with a large barrel. Curl your hair starting from the roots and work your way down to the ends. Part your hair down the middle, ad use your fingers to loosen the curls.

Find the middle point between your part and the ends of your hair, and use a light amount of hairspray up to the crown. Then, use a comb to tease the hair that you’ve sprayed and smooth it out with a brush, making sure to be very gentle. Gather up some of your hair to make a half ponytail and clasp it into place with a bobby pin. From there, you can shape your curls and finish off your half up-do with hairspray to hold it in place.

Waterfall Braid Bun

Waterfall-Braid-BunThe waterfall braid bun is a classy style, best suited for weddings and formal occasions. You need to have long hair to achieve this look. To begin, part your hair down the middle with your fingers and take hold of a small section of hair. Split your hair into three parts and French braid it so that the braid goes diagonally across your head.

Once you have your braid, keep it in place with the use of a hair tie (a clear one works the best). Then, roll your braid until you have a bun on the side of your head. The bun should sit just above your ear and needs to be secured with a bobby pin. Always brush your hair before starting this hairstyle and make sure to keep the part on your natural side. Before you try the waterfall braid bun, don’t wash your hair for 24 hours. Slightly greasy hair makes this style a lot easier to pull off.

Quick & Simple Up-Do

Quick-Simple-Up-DoThe quick and simple up-do is a fun style that’s really easy to do if you’re good at braiding your hair. Before you try this look, don’t wash your hair for 24 hours (for the best results). Brush your hair all the way through. Tease your hair at the crown, then smooth out the top. Then, separate the back of your hair into three ponytails.

Take one of the three ponytails and separate it into three parts. Braid one of the three parts and put a clear elastic band at the bottom of it. Then, take the little braid and the other two parts to join them into a single braid. Repeat this process for the two other ponytails.

Once all three ponytails are braided, put a clear elastic band at the top and bottom of the middle braid and at the bottom of each of the other braids. Loosen each braid slightly with your fingers. Then, take the three braids and roll each of them up into a bun, keeping them in place with bobby pins (you will need a handful). Once your bun is in place, your up-do is all done!

Messy Fishtail Braid

Messy-Fishtail-BraidThe messy fishtail braid is a unique spin on an old classic and is very easy to do. For this style, your hair needs to be both clean and dry. Pull your hair back and braid just the upper half of it with a loose and traditional braid. From there, take two strands from the lower half of your hair and wrap them around the top of your braid. Pin them into place.

Form the rest of your hair into a classic fishtail braid. Tug at your braid to get the desired messy look, then secure it with a clear hair tie or even a bobby pin (whichever works better for you.) To ensure that your messy fishtail braid will last throughout the day, finish it off with hairspray.

Knotted Up-Do

Knotted-Up-DoThe knotted up-do is perhaps the easiest hairstyle on this list. By the looks of it, you’d think this style would require a lot of effort, but it really only takes about a minute to do. To get started, divide your hair by parting it down the middle (you can use a comb or your fingers depending on how loose you want it to look). Take the two sections of your hair and tie them together in a knot.

All you have to do from here is tighten the knot, then use a bobby pin to keep it in place. Seriously, that’s all there is to it and it looks great! If you want to make it look like you really tried rather than sporting the usual old ponytail, then the knotted up-do is the way to go. It might not be the best look for special occasions such as weddings, but it’s pretty nonetheless.

Triple Braided Bun

Triple-Braided-BunThe triple braided bun is a bit trickier than the knotted up-do, but it’s still pretty simple to do and doesn’t take much time. Part your hair into three sections vertically. Braid the middle section, then secure it at the top and bottom with clear elastics. Tie your braid into a knot, then tuck the tail of your braid behind this knot, securing it with a bobby pin.

Take one of the two remaining sections, and braid it. Once it is braided, pull it into the bun you’ve made and tie it into a knot, then again tuck the tail of your braid in. Repeat this process with the last section. Keep your hair in place with hairspray to finish the look.

Runway-Inspired Bun

Runway-Inspired-BunBuns are all the rage when it comes to the fashion models that strut down the catwalk. Now, you can get the same look quickly and easily. To begin this style, start with one side of your head. Grab a handful of hair and twist it so that it’s straight and firm. Bring the twisted hair back to the nape of your neck, and secure it with a bobby pin. Then, do the same thing on the opposite side of your head.

Now, take the ends of the twists and your remaining hair to twist altogether into a tight bun. You can use an accessory on your bun to hide the bobby pins, or you can leave it as is. It’s up to you. Don’t forget to use hairspray to make sure that your bun stays in place.

Romantic Cascade Braid

Romantic-Cascade-BraidThe romantic cascade braid is a very elegant style that suits both casual and formal occasions. The first step is to make a dramatic side part on the left side of your head. From this side part, create a French braid that extends from the front of your hairline to the bottom of your right ear. Keep the braid in place with a clear elastic band.

Use a flat iron to curl your loose hair into small sections, and use your fingers to separate the curls. Wrap a few curls around the elastic band of your braid. Use hairspray to keep this style in place.

No Knot Braided Bun

No-Knot-Braided-BunThe final hairstyle we’re going to show you is one where you can get a bun without tying knots. Starting is easy enough as all you have to do is put your hair into a ponytail and position it where you want your bun to sit. Braid your ponytail and secure with a clear elastic band. Pull your braid up and pin it to the top of your head above the elastic. Then, roll the end of your braid inward and pin it under the elastic.

There might be some loose strands of hair, since there is no knot. So, pin any loose strands into your braid if you don’t want your bun to look too messy. Finish off this style with a little bit of hairspray. That’s all you need to do.
