Top 50 Male Celebs You Didn’t Know Had Plastic Surgery

Facelifts and implants, liposuction and nose jobs – this sounds like a checklist for Hollywood, doesn’t it? For so long, plastic surgery has been a way for celebrities to prevent the signs of aging and forever maintain their handsome good looks and girlish figures. With the demands of fame and the fact that the camera adds 10 pounds or more, we can’t blame anyone for wanting a little help after gravity starts to work overtime.

While average people often opt for plastic surgery, going under the knife for implants and tucks is almost a prerequisite for being a Hollywood star. In fact, as critics spend their time whispering about the latest Hollywood goddess’s nose job, male celebs slipped by the camera without too much attention. That is, until recently.

The high demands of looking good in Hollywood no longer only affect women. Today, many male celebs are opting for plastic surgery to help ease the pains of aging in such a harsh and critical world. From liposuction to jawline reconstructions, Hollywood’s hottest celebs are going under the knife for just about anything that may help them look hotter, sexier and yes, even younger. In fact, we found 50 male celebrities whose plastic surgery before and after photos will leave you shocked, but we’ll let you decide if these are success stories or botched jobs of epic proportions!

#50 – Pete Burns

“You spin me right round baby, right round…” First launching his music career in the United Kingdom with his band Dead or Alive in 1980, Pete Burns found mainstream success in 1985 with his hit single “You Spin Me Round.” From there, he became a polarizing celebrity known less for his music and more for his androgynous look on his highly publicized transformation from a man into a woman. So, out of dozens of surgeries and a bill totaling $38,000 (and counting) to become the perfect female alive, where exactly should we start?

Having every surgery imaginable from lip injections (looks painful, doesn’t it?) and face lifts to cheek implants and numerous rhinoplasties, there isn’t much of Burns’ original face left. But, that hasn’t stopped the 56-year-old rocker who promises that he’ll continue to go under the knife and maintain his signature look even if it means that his face “might fall off.” Resembling something straight from a horror film’s worst nightmare, Burns once admitted that he had a minor procedure done simply because he was bored while waiting for his husband to finish getting a tattoo. Now that’s an addiction to the knife!

#49 – Robert Pattinson

From wizardry, magic potions and spells to blood-hungry vampires, flash forward from the 1980s to the 2000s when vampires were all the rage thanks to the Twilight saga starring London’s own Robert Pattinson. Hanging up his cloak after playing Cedric Diggory in the 2005 hit Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Pattinson was at the forefront of the pop culture movement when he starred as Edward Cullen in Twilight and became one of the sexiest and most powerful celebrities in the world.

Unlike Pete burns (in so many ways), Pattinson has never admitted or spoken publicly about plastic surgery, but that hasn’t stopped the media from claiming that the 30-year-old star has already gone under the knife. According to reports, Pattinson supposedly had a rhinoplasty a few years ago to correct his nose’s wide bridge and narrower tip. With the reverse looking to be true today with a narrower bridge, Pattinson’s under the radar rhinoplasty is nothing new in Hollywood and is luckily the only secret procedure that the vampire turned Hollywood heartthrob has had.

#48 – Vince Neil

Making waves in the 1980s as they joined the craze of hair metal and hard rock bands, Motley Crue is best known for their hedonistic lifestyle embodied by band members Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee, Mick Mars and Vince Neil. Taking center stage as the band’s lead vocalist in 1980, Neil belted out hits from albums like Shout at the Devil, Theatre of Pain and Dr. Feelgood, which quickly established the group as one of the biggest hard rock and metal bands of the decade.

Partying like a rock star for the last 36 years while launching a successful solo career and dabbling in a variety of business ventures and acting, Neil turned to plastic surgery to maintain his center-stage looks. Admitting to a brow lift, cheek lift and a rhinoplasty, the 55-year-old rocker even documented his transformation on VH1 to show just how his looks have improved over the years – with a little surgery magic, of course! Luckily enough, Neil is looking as good as his early Motley Crue days after decades of living fast and hard finally caught up with him.

#47 – Robert Downey, Jr.

From zero to hero and back again, it’s hard to imagine anyone else playing Iron Man than the talented and handsome Robert Downey, Jr. Making his acting debut at only five years old in 1970, Downey was associated with the Brat Pack thanks to roles in films like Weird Science and Less Than Zero before giving an award-winning performance in Chaplin that truly set him apart. Despite a highly publicized battle with drug addiction, the now sober Downey has happily returned to the silver screen in a Marvel Comics role that seems to be written especially for him.

With his drug and alcohol addiction taking a toll on both his career and physical health, Downey’s sobriety did wonders for his physical appearance although he most likely had a little extra help. Despite never openly admitting that he’s had any plastic surgery, many agree that Downey most likely had work done around the eyes as well as Botox injections to tighten sagging skin and signs of aging. Others even argue that he had a cheek augmentation, which just might explain why Downey still looks like a sexy superhero at 51 years old!

#46 – Johnny Depp

Known for his larger-than-life roles after rising to fame as a teen idol in the 1980s on the hit television series 21 Jump Street, Depp has proven his talents across all genres of films with hits like Edward Scissorhands, Pirates of the Caribbean and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Highly awarded and praised for his exceptional portrayals of people like Joseph D. Pistone, John Dillinger and J. M. Barrie, Depp is one of the highest paid actors in the industry with $75 million in earnings not to mention his recent induction as a living Disney Legend.

Now only 52 years old and working harder than ever before, Depp looks just as young–if not younger–than many actors his age. Though unconfirmed by the actor himself, Depp’s ventures under the knife have been fairly subtle as many physicians speculate that he has had a minor cheek lift but primarily sticks to Botox injections and fillers so as not to draw any unwanted attention to his looks. Of course, comparing photos from his acting debut in the 1980s to his latest red carpet walk and we can’t help but wonder if he might have had a rhinoplasty as well.

#45 – Ryan Reynolds

Winning the hearts of audiences as the ditzy pretty boy in the ABC sitcom Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place, Canada’s Ryan Reynolds has come a long way to become one of Hollywood’s hottest stars. Making a name for himself with films like National Lampoon’s Van Wilder, The Amityville Horror and The Proposal, Reynolds has also become one of Marvel Comics favorite leading men. After starring in Marvel hits like Blade: Trinity and X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Reynolds proved to be the perfect choice for the leading role in the 2016 blockbuster Deadpool.

Making his acting debut at 15 years old, Reynolds always hoped he would outgrow his baby face and, while it has definitely changed over the years, many experts believe that the change is far from natural. With rumors running wild that Reynolds turned to plastic surgery for help, many say that the 39-year-old star uses Botox injections to ensure his boyish good looks are perfect. Others claim that Reynolds has even had a chin enhancement where surgeons shaved down the bone of his chin to give him a more definitive jawline. Whatever the case, there’s no denying that he’s one of the hottest men in Hollywood today!

#44 – Ashton Kutcher

Much like Ryan Reynolds turned his sitcom success into silver screen stardom, Ashton Kutcher first rose to fame as Michael Kelso on the hit Fox sitcom That 70’s Show. Making his film debut on the romantic comedy Coming Soon in 1999, Kutcher became a household name thanks to his hilarious performance on Dude, Where’s My Car? Continuing to star in films like Just Married, My Boss’s Daughter and The Butterfly Effect, Kutcher even returned to television when he became the highest paid television star after replacing Charlie Sheen on Two and a Half Men.

Long before taking the stage as an actor, Kutcher worked as a model for Calvin Klein and traveled throughout Paris and Milan where he learned just how important his good looks were to his career. Though never openly admitting to any plastic surgery, Kutcher is said to have undergone a minor rhinoplasty to taper and narrow the bridge and tip of his nose. Being only a minor change and still unconfirmed, Kutcher’s good looks – nose and all – have definitely attracted some of Hollywood’s hottest leading ladies like his ex-wife Demi Moore and current bride and former costar, Mila Kunis.

#43 – Gordon Ramsay

One of the hottest names in cooking today, it’s hard to find a cooking show on television that doesn’t star Scottish native Gordon Ramsay. Known for his love of competitive cooking and delicious menus, Ramsay is a restauranteur who took his passion to the entertainment industry as the host of television shows such as Hell’s Kitchen, MasterChef, The F Word and Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares. Bringing in $60 million in 2014 alone, it’s undeniable that Ramsay has become a star celebrity chef!

Celebrating his 50th birthday this November, Ramsay looked much older than 50 a few years ago when his children finally persuaded him to go under the knife to correct the pronounced wrinkles lining his face as well as his blotchy and uneven chin. Taking his children’s advice and with the support of his wife, Ramsay underwent a chin enhancement to straighten his jawline in addition to Botox injections and a minor facelift to smooth out his forehead. Pleased with the results and thankful for his children’s honesty, Ramsay is looking better than ever as he whips up one of his famous dishes!

#42 – Sting

Born in England in 1951 as Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner but better known today by his stage name, Sting first rose to fame in the late 1970s when he took the stage as the singer and bassist for The Police. Eventually launching his solo career in 1984 and blending everything from classical and new age to rock and reggae into his musical style, Sting has become a world-renowned musical icon and is one of the best-selling music artists of all time.

Spending nearly five decades in the spotlight, Sting has seen his fair share of rumors over the years with most of them centering around his relationships and his looks. When it comes to the latter, the word around the music industry has been that Sting underwent a rhinoplasty just as The Police started to gain fame in 1977. And, although he hasn’t admitted to having any work done to enhance his looks, it’s undeniable that the 64-year-old singer, songwriter, musician and actor looks exceptionally well for his age.

#41 – Ryan Gosling

From the Disney Channel’s Mickey Mouse Club to becoming one of Hollywood’s sexiest men alive, Ryan Gosling is yet another Canadian heartthrob who has come a long way from his early days on family shows like Are You Afraid of the Dark? and Goosebumps. With his early success in independent films like Murder by Numbers and The Slaughter Rule, Gosling became a household name after his leading role in the 2004 blockbuster The Notebook. Since then, he’s starred in a variety of movies such as Lars and the Real Girl and Crazy, Stupid, Love.

Much like Sting, Gosling’s physical transformation has been subtle since it happened decades ago after he made his acting debut in the mid-1990s. Planning on a career in the spotlight and landing roles in television series like Breaker High and Young Hercules, many believe that Gosling secretly underwent a rhinoplasty to widen the overly thin bridge of his nose. Of course, by the time The Notebook hit the box office, the world had already fallen in love with Gosling’s boyish good looks and never knew or questioned the subtle difference!

#40 – Robert Redford

Praised as the “Godfather of Indie Film” and one of the “Most Influential People in the World,” Robert Redford has had a long and extraordinary career that spans nearly 60 years. The Academy Award winner and founder of the Sundance Film Festival first launched his career in the 1960s on shows like The Untouchables and The Twilight Zone before making his film debut in War Hunt. From there, he’s proven his talents as an actor, director and producer in hits like Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, All the President’s Men and A River Runs Through It.

Now at 79 years old and continuing to leave his incredible mark in Hollywood, Redford has always said that he wants to age gracefully and would never resort to plastic surgery. However, Hollywood’s top plastic surgeons are saying otherwise. Sources claim that Redford has had a facelift in addition to numerous Botox injections and fillers to lift, smooth, tighten and tuck the majority of his wrinkles. And, while we’d like to think that Redford has remained true to his word, we don’t know any other 70-something year old men who look as good as he does!

#39 – Al Pacino

One of the few performers to ever win the “Triple Crown of Acting”–an Oscar, an Emmy and a Tony Award–New York native Al Pacino is yet another movie icon who makes our list. Starting his career in 1967 and gaining critical acclaim years later for his performance in The Panic in Needle Park, Pacino has spent the last 50 years on the silver screen and on the Broadway stage winning dozens of awards as an actor and filmmaker known for his exceptional performances in films like The Godfather, Glengarry Glen Ross and Scarface.

Like Robert Redford and his pal Robert De Niro, Pacino has said that he is one of the older actors in Hollywood who doesn’t believe in plastic surgery. However, it appears that only De Niro has kept his word since the 76-year-old Pacino is sporting a fresher and more youthful look than his pal. Though unconfirmed, many believe that Pacino underwent a facelift as well as laser treatments to prevent wrinkles and other signs of aging. Although he still carries a few wrinkles around his eyes, this Triple Crown Winner isn’t letting anything get in the way of success.

#38 – Billy Crystal

First taking the stage as an improv comedian, Billy Crystal became a television star in the 1970s when he appeared on the ABC sitcom Soap from 1977 to 1981. Landing his own variety show on NBC titled The Billy Crystal Comedy Hour, Crystal became a regular on Saturday Night Live before taking his talents to the silver screen in films like When Harry Met Sally and City Slickers. Since then, he’s appeared in films like Analyze This and Monsters, Inc. but has spent the majority of his time as the nine-time host of the Academy Awards.

After the release of Analyze This in 1999, it looked like Crystal would age gracefully in the spotlight but that later changed when he took the stage at the Academy Awards with fuller cheeks and far fewer wrinkles. Obviously going under the knife, Crystal didn’t keep up with the surgery and began looking much older until 2010 when he updated his look and magically appeared younger once again. Now at 68 years old and still fluctuating between looking youthful and looking his age, Crystal is a prime example as to why it’s important to keep your plastic surgery appointments!

#37 – Clint Eastwood

Hollywood’s favorite “manly man,” Clint Eastwood has been in Hollywood so long that even his acting career is old enough to retire after 62 years. First starring in spaghetti westerns like Man with No Name in the 1960s, Eastwood became a household name after his portrayal of Harry Callahan in the Dirty Harry films. Extending his talents from acting to directing and producing, some of Eastwood’s biggest hits include The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, Million Dollar Baby, Gran Torino and American Sniper.

Undeniably one of the toughest men in Hollywood and a cultural icon of masculinity, Eastwood has proven that not even he is too manly for plastic surgery. Recognized by his freckled face aged by the sun, the now 85-year-old star hit the red carpet at the 2007 Academy Awards looking remarkably different with the wrinkles that once covered his forehead completely gone. Never openly admitting to the surgery, Hollywood’s finest plastic surgeons agree that the world’s favorite Dirty Harry had a forehead lift and laser treatments to maintain his icon tough-guy look.

#36 – Brad Pitt

Often considered the world’s most attractive man as well as one of the most influential people in film today, Brad Pitt first gained fame in the early 1990s as a cowboy hitchhiker in Thelma & Louise. Since then, the A-list megastar has earned dozens of awards for his exceptional performances in films like Fight Club, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and Se7en, to name a few. Add in high profile marriages to Jennifer Aniston (2000-2005) and Angelina Jolie (2014-present), and it’s no surprise why he’s considered one of Hollywood’s favorite (and luckiest) leading men.

No stranger to making magazine covers for his sex appeal and rustic good looks, many people wonder if Pitt has ever gone under the knife. While most look in all the wrong places as they study his face for any signs of plastic surgery, the 52-year-old has actually had work done but it’s not in a place where you’d expect. Early in his career, Pitt was self-conscious about his ears and thought they stuck out further than they should. Looking to boost his confidence, Pitt had his ears tacked in what is undoubtedly one of the most minor and subtle surgeries on our list!

#35 – Christian Bale

Finding incredible success in just about every role he’s had over the past 34 years, England native Christian Bale first caught the world’s eye when Steven Spielberg cast him in the leading role in his 1987 film Empire of the Sun. From there, Bale gained critical acclaim for his performance in American Psycho and has since earned quite the reputation for his work as Bruce Wayne in the Batman series as well as in hits such as American Hustle, The Fighter and The Big Short.

Known for taking his roles and characters incredibly seriously, Bale has transformed himself time and time again throughout his career for the sake of his performances, but what has he done to transform his own look? Raised in England where people have notoriously poor hygiene and teeth, Bale was desperate to overcome the stereotype and had his teeth replaced with implants once he moved to the United States in the early 1990s. Admitting that he wanted to look “more American,” the surgery was a great move to boost his career in the spotlight!

#34 – Vladimir Putin

With plenty of actors, musicians and celebrities on our list, why not include a world leader? Serving as the President of Russia from 2000 to 2008, Vladimir Putin returned to office on May 7, 2012 where he has once again established himself as an incredibly polarizing leader. After taking the top spot in Forbes magazine’s list of The World’s Most Powerful People in 2015, it’s no surprise why Putin has turned to plastic surgery to ensure he’s always looking his best.

While many would never dream the leader of a country would have time to get plastic surgery much less actually go through with it, many people speculate that Putin has done exactly that. Looking run down and exhausted since his reelection in 2012, rumors ran wild about Putin in 2015 when he appeared on television looking much younger the 62 years old with virtually no wrinkles or sagging skin. Whether he had Botox injections, fillers or a facelift to reduce early signs of aging, he most likely did it on the country’s dime since he certainly doesn’t want to look like a weak, aging and incompetent leader.

#33 – Steve Martin

Enjoying a successful career as a stand-up comedian with appearances on The Tonight Show and as a writer on The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour, Steve Martin truly became a household name when he debuted on Saturday Night Live in the mid-1970s. Seeing instant success on SNL as the ratings climbed, the late night show paved the way for Martin’s film career and he didn’t disappoint with classics like The Jerk, Roxanne, Father of the Bride and Planes, Trains and Automobiles.

So how exactly does a 70-year-old actor and stand-up comedian look as young and wrinkle free as he did decades ago? Doctors agree that Botox injections, fillers and a facelift are to thank for Martin’s younger appearance, which is especially obvious around the eyes where his crow’s feet and laugh lines are now nearly invisible compared to photos from the early 2000s. Appearing younger and, coincidentally, with even fewer facial expressions these days, the Grammy winner may not openly admit that he’s had plastic surgery but the pictures definitely don’t lie.

#32 – Rod Stewart

“If you want my body and you think I’m sexy…” Joining the ranks of England’s legendary musicians, Rod Stewart’s distinctive raspy voice landed him a spot among the God-tier singers as one of the best-selling music artists of all time. Spending the last 50 years on the stage, the two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee has topped the charts and won dozens of awards thanks to hits like “Do Ya Think I’m Sexy,” “Maggie May” and “Every Picture Tells a Story.”

While many celebrities on our list refuse to admit they’ve gone under the knife or even considered it, there’s no denying that music and plastic surgery have kept the 71-year-old Stewart looking young. Despite keeping the same hairstyle for decades, Stewart has proven that he isn’t afraid of change after admitting that he had minor plastic surgery on his nose. Though many expected the rocker to say that he had a rhinoplasty to straighten his signature curvy beak, instead, the singer said that he had polyps removed in a surgery that only took an hour. Forever young, indeed.

#31 – Arnold Schwarzenegger

“I want to pump, you up!” With possibly one of the most interesting and diverse careers of all time, the Austria born Arnold Schwarzenegger first started his career as a bodybuilder whose international notoriety as a seven-time Mr. Olympia winner helped pave the way for his acting career. Starring in notable films like The Terminator, Predator and Total Recall, Arnie proved he was more than just muscle when he won the governor’s seat and took office as the 38th Governor of California from 2003 to 2011.

With his body toned from head to toe, Schwarzenegger is a bit of a hard book to read when it comes to plastic surgery as some specialists say that he has had quite a bit of work done while others argue that aging and his lifestyle are to blame. Today, some of Arnie’s most rumored procedures include a facelift, neck lift, cheek implants and liposuction that were required after he lost so much weight from his bodybuilding days. Desperate to avoid a turkey neck at all costs, it’s no wonder why The Governator went under the knife.

#30 – Christian Slater

Landing his first role over 30 years ago in The Legend of Billie Jean, Christian Slater became an overnight success as he starred alongside Sean Connery in The Name of the Rose before his breakthrough role in the cult hit Heathers. From there, the New York native continued to earn widespread praise and critical acclaim for his work on films like Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles and True Romance. Today, fans can find him in the lead role on the USA Network series Mr. Robot, for which he earned his first Golden Globe.

Much like Robert Downey, Jr. from earlier on our list, Slater had a very similar career path with his success marred by drug and alcohol abuse behind the scenes. By the late 1990s and early 2000s, Slater was living a hard and fast lifestyle that left him looking ragged and nearly unrecognizable from the man who made his acting debut in 1985. Looking much better today though his sobriety is unknown, plastic surgeons agree that Slater has turned to Botox injections as well as a forehead lift and hairline surgery to fix his wrinkles, receding hairline and other signs of aging.

#29 – David Hasselhoff

Just call him “The Hoff!” Making his acting debut as a soap opera star on The Young and the Restless, Maryland native David Hasselhoff became a star when he was cast as Michael Knight on Knight Rider. From there, Hasselhoff joined the cast of Baywatch where he starred as Mitch Buchannon and proved his talents as a producer. Continuing to stay relevant for over 30 years with his biggest following in Germany, The Hoff has appeared in films like Click and Dodgeball while also working as a talent judge on America’s Got Talent and launching his music career.

Holding the Guinness World Record as the most watched man on television, Hasselhoff comes as no surprise on our list despite the fact that he once denied ever going under the knife. Having since come clean and obviously fooling no one, the 63-year-old Hasselhoff has only admitted to Botox injections saying that even “Clint Eastwood waited until he was 75 and he looks damn good.” Though professionals say that the former Baywatch star has also had eyelid surgery and a facelift, we can’t blame the guy for getting work done to stay happy and relevant after all these years!

#28 – David Gest

Better known for his high profile friendships rather than his actual career, the late David Gest led an interesting life as an entertainer, comedian, television personality and producer up until his death in April 2016. Frequently making headlines during his brief marriage to Liza Minnelli in 2002, Gest’s friendship with the late Michael Jackson was the real ticket to success after he produced the highest rated music special in history when Michael and the Jacksons reunited for the first time in 17 years in 2001. Gest even took his fame abroad to England where he had three prime-time series and was a contestant on I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!

Living the majority of his life in front of the camera, David Gest had a ton of plastic surgery done thanks, in part, to the encouragement of Michael Jackson. Spending $20,000 (and possibly more), Gest had multiple facelifts, a brow lift, Botox injections around the eyes and forehead, in addition to having fat suctioned from his chin to create a chiseled jawline. By the time he added fake eyebrows, Gest admitted that he regretted having so much work done especially when it came to nearly bleeding him dry.

#27 – Ozzy Osbourne

Praised as the “Godfather of Heavy Metal,” Ozzy Osbourne changed the face of music in the 1970s when he took the stage as the lead singer of Black Sabbath, which many credit as being the original heavy metal band. Leaving the band in 1979 and launching his solo career, The Prince of Darkness is also known for his extensive drug and alcohol abuse thanks to his family’s reality television series, The Osbournes, starring his wife Sharon and two of their children.

Always seen dressed in black and wearing his signature sunglasses, it was 2013 when fans got to see Osbourne without his shades for the first time in years. Needless to say, his appearance was incredibly shocking. With his wife vowing to never get plastic surgery again after a health scare from a cosmetic procedure, the world was shocked to see Osbourne looking much younger than before with absolutely no wrinkles and obvious work done around his eyes. Fortunately, Osbourne has put his shades back on so there’s no telling how he’ll look the next time he dares to take them off!

#26 – Zac Efron

Can you believe it’s been a decade since the first High School Musical was released? Becoming one of the biggest successes on television from 2006 to 2008, the film franchise skyrocketed Zac Efron to stardom as his exceptional performance took him straight from the Disney Channel to even greater fame. Quickly joining the ranks as a teen idol and young heartthrob, Efron went on to star in blockbusters like 17 Again, Neighbors, We Are Your Friends and Dirty Grandpa.

Growing up in the spotlight, the now 28-year-old Efron hasn’t admitted to having any plastic surgery done but, if he did, most likely did so when he could easily chalk up any changes to his face on puberty. Sources say that Efron took time between the High School Musical sequels to have minor work done to narrow the bridge and tip of his nose. Others also say that, in addition to the rhinoplasty, he had his chin and cheeks enhanced to smooth out the skin and give him a more mature jawline and facial structure. Whatever the case, he’s still as handsome as ever!

#25 – Tom Cruise

Whether you love him or hate him (or just think he’s plain crazy), it’s undeniable that Tom Cruise has been one of the biggest stars in Hollywood for the past 20 years. Making his acting debut in the 1981 film Endless Love, Cruise landed his first leading role in Risky Business in 1983 and hasn’t looked back since. Having starred in hit films like Top Gun, Mission: Impossible, Rain Man and Minority Report, Cruise is perhaps best known today for his work outside the box office as a result of his outspoken advocacy for the Church of Scientology.

During his early career, rumors ran wild when Cruise admitted that he had a rhinoplasty to make minor changes to his nose. Though he said that he would most likely never have anything else done, Cruise recently made headlines when the 53-year-old announced an even more dramatic transformation. At the 2016 BAFTA Awards, the world was shocked when Cruise took the red carpet looking entirely different with his forehead, cheeks and chin having obviously undergone extensive work. While many said that Cruise looked like he had been stung by thousands of bees, we hope it was just bad Botox injections that left Cruise looking crazier than normal.

#24 – Patrick Dempsey

Best known for his role as the McDreamy Dr. Derek Shepherd on Grey’s Anatomy, Patrick Dempsey first rose to fame in the late 1980s after starring in films like Can’t Buy Me Love and Loverboy. Landing only smaller roles in the 1990s, his 2002 performance in Sweet Home Alabama put him back in the spotlight as he went on to star in a series of other films including Enchanted, Made of Honor, Freedom Writers and Transformers: Dark of the Moon.

Having recently made his dramatic exit from Grey’s Anatomy last season, the 50-year-old Dempsey hasn’t always been thrilled with his McDreamy good looks. Seemingly unknown in the early 1980s before his career took off, Dempsey underwent a rhinoplasty to narrow the bridge and tip of his nose. Thankfully a flawless procedure that obviously looks great today, it’s just one less thing for Dempsey to worry about now that he has even more time to focus on his real passions: auto racing and motor sports!

#23 – Shia LaBeouf

Easily the most eccentric person on our list—which is definitely saying something—Shia LaBeouf first rose to fame on the Disney Channel when he starred as Louis Stevens on Even Stevens. Making the transition from television to film, LaBeouf made his film debut in the 2003 hit Holes only to make his directorial debut the following year in the short film Let’s Love Hate. Since then, he’s starred in films like Disturbia, Fury and the Indiana Jones franchise with his most prominent role in the Transformers series.

One of many child stars who have turned to plastic surgery in their teens with the hopes no one would notice (or to blame any changes on puberty), LaBeouf has yet to confirm that he’s actually had any work done but the pictures say otherwise. Sources say that LaBeouf had a rhinoplasty after wrapping up Even Stevens in 2003 to straighten out and narrow his nose by removing the large bump in the middle. Whether it’s true or not, we can’t say—just study the before and after pictures and decide for yourself!

#22 – Mickey Rourke

Legendary actor, retired boxer, and notorious Hollywood bad boy Mickey Rourke, first became a household name in the 1980s after starring in “Diner, The Pope of Greenwich Village” and “9 ½ Weeks;” after his early success in drama, action, and thriller films, Rourke took a break from the spotlight and wouldn’t make his return until the late 90s where he would star in box office hits like “The Rainmaker” and “Get Carter.”

Did we mention that Rourke is a bad boy yet? After hitting a rough patch in his life, Rourke turned to alcohol and boxing to help make it through his days; It should come as no surprise, then, that after getting knocked around the ring and boozed up, that Rourke began looking pretty rough: at 62 years old the actor and retired boxer opted for the true Beverly Hills fix: plastic surgery! From hair extensions and skin tightening to cheekbone and nose reconstruction, Rourke’s new look revived his career, and even earned him an Oscar nominated role in “The Wrestler.”

#21 – Gene Simmons

Gene-SimmonsGene Simmons has been a rock icon for as long as rock icons were a thing; when you think of the “bad boy” who made parents uncomfortable all around the U.S. then Gene Simmons of the band Kiss is your guy without a doubt: they were one of the most heavily protested bands to ever exist. Simmons was infamous for hacking up “blood” on stage and sticking out his abnormally long tongue, and with all the plastic surgery he has received over the years what is perhaps most surprising is that his tongue has never been altered or extended (contrary to popular belief).

Simmons has had an array of work done on him to help keep him youthful: he had eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) to make his eyes look more refined, Botox injections to slow down the drooping of his face, and what’s most surprising is that both he and his partner, Shannon Tweed, most got Facelifts side by side on the same day. Gene wants to keep looking good for his partner and doesn’t want to put the “sex god” years past him yet, and his wife doesn’t want her husband looking younger than her: I think they both need a “kiss” of reality because once you hit a certain age there isn’t much you can do.

#20 – Kenny Rogers

“You’ve got to know when to hold ‘em, know when to fold ‘em.” As one of the most famous country singers of all time, Kenny Rogers certainly knows a thing or two about gambling: at least when it comes to lyrics that is. With over 10 dozen singles released, including “The Gambler,” and over 100 million records sold around the globe, this Country Music Hall of Fame member will continue to be true music legend.

Often seen (and heard) singing alongside the feisty Dolly Parton, Rogers surprised everyone when he took a brief break from the public spotlight and later reemerged looking like an entirely different person. Despite the fact that signature white beard remained, long gone were Rogers’ rugged good looks, thanks to a series of plastic surgeries which included both a facelift and Botox injections; obviously attempting to defy time, the music icon even had the bags under his eyes removed and his eyelids tightened (ouch!). Thankfully even Rogers admits that the surgery ended in a disaster: his face says it all!

#19 – Sylvester Stallone

Sylvestor-StalloneStallone is so jacked that most people probably assume he takes steroids, but it turns out that the only thing unnatural about him is his plastic surgery. When you’re a huge action star like Stallone people expect a lot out of you: not only do you need to make sure that your body is chiseled, but you also need to look like you belong on the big screen. Keeping up with an audience’s expectations of beauty gets a lot more difficult as you get older, so stars like Stallone naturally have to turn to alternative methods.

Sylvester didn’t just have a few surgeries; he went “Rambo” with the procedures: lifting his eyebrows and his face, having work done on his jaw line, and of course getting enough Botox injections to keep his face looking timeless. Stallone certainly knows what he is doing: the older he gets the more “expendable” he becomes as an actor, and the more “rocky” his career gets, but with his dedication (and with a bit of cosmetic help) he’ll be an action hero past the point when he’s wheelchair bound.

#18 – Paul Stanley

From face paint and stage outfits to comic-book style characters and elaborate performances, the band KISS forever changed the world of hard rock music during the 1970s thanks, in part, to standout member Paul Stanley. Known as the “Starchild” of the band as a result of his softer, more romantic side, Stanley’s face makeup depicts a large black star on his face that hid his real appearance from his fans for years.

While the media focused on KISS front man Gene Simmons’, fewer people paid much attention to Stanley’s new looks. Already into his early 60s and still touring, the rocker opted for multiple plastic surgeries including a face and brow lift, eyelid tightening, lip augmentation, and rhinoplasty: of course, once people finally noticed they had something to say: most of which was criticism regarding the famous rocker’s now surprised “old man” look! I really don’t think Stanley concerned himself too much with the opinions of his fans, because he’d rather not end up looking line Tiny Tim when he gets older.

#17 – Wayne Newton

Wayne-NewtonPeople of this generation don’t even know who Wayne Newton is, but there was a time that people would trample each other just to score a seat at one of his shows. During the 60s and 70s Newton was an entertainment icon, and his albums were topping charts all over the world, but these days the 72 year old singer is just enjoying the spoils of his success. Money can buy you many things, but it can’t buy you back your youth: of course that doesn’t stop people from trying anyways.

Wayne is a prime example of why sometimes you just have to let nature take its course: in an effort to remedy some of his imperfections he instead wound up looking like he got stung by bees. Wayne has had an assortment of operations including a nose job, eyelid surgeries, and all of the basics that stars seem to love so much. It doesn’t matter if you’re the mind behind Jingle Bell Rock, if you aren’t careful when you go under the knife then you might just wind up looking like a Ken doll.

#16 – Simon Cowell

Known as the harshest talent critic in the world, Simon Cowell is now one of the richest men in show business, thanks to a successful career as a producer, talent scout, and television show judge. From American Idol to The X-Factor, this British critic has carved a name for himself by discovering and promoting some of the world’s greatest talent acts across the United States and the United Kingdom.

For a man who never sleeps, Cowell’s schedule began taking a serious toll on his good looks, and his rarely seen million dollar smile. With regular Botox injections to help revitalize his face, Cowell was discovered to have upped his plastic surgery game when he was recently caught sporting a bandage near his ear, leading many to believe that he had undergone a skin tightening surgery to better define his jawline. Who’s the critic now, Simon? Don’t worry, we aren’t going to give you the buzzer, because underneath this cold and dark exterior we still have souls!

#15 – Barry Manilow

Barry-ManilowBarry Manilow has never been an incredibly attractive man, but when you have a voice like his you won’t have any problem picking up the ladies. During the late 70s it was impossible to go out dancing without hearing Manilow’s hit song, “Copacabana,” but nowadays if you hear anyone talking about Barry it’s likely about how unnatural he looks; he swears that his appearance is completely natural for his age but let’s be honest, how many people naturally wind up looking like they are made out of plastic?

A quick look at Barry’s facial features makes his cosmetic surgeries blatantly obvious: eyelid surgery, a forehead face and brow lift, and a series of Botox injections have left him looking almost animatronic. Manilow has said that hearing about his surgeries makes him rather agitated, but that’s probably because they weren’t done well enough to not go unnoticed; I guess he will just have to accept that he’s an incredibly wealthy songwriter that can have almost anything he wants: your life must be terribly difficult, Barry!

#14 – Ray Liotta

Chances are that if you went to the movies during the 80s and 90s that you saw more of Ray Liotta than you would have ever imagined. Starring in the critically acclaimed “Goodfellas” and appearing in one of the best sports movies of all time, “Field of Dreams,” Liotta has built a career thanks to his outstanding acting talent: earning an Emmy Award and several other award nominations.

Much has changed for Liotta over the past 20 years, both in terms of career and his looks! Widely absent from the silver screen these days, Liotta has obviously aged less gracefully than others in the film industry thanks to some rather horrific plastic surgery. After Liotta first went under the knife, the facelift and derma fillers gave him a strange appearance, and resulted in a sort of angry scowl. The unusual results of Liotta’s surgeries lead many critics to deem the procedure as one of the worst botches in all of Hollywood history! Yikes! Now Liotta’s eyes look far too tight, and his face looks almost leathery; we can’t completely blame Liotta, though, since he at least tried to grow a beard in an effort hide the lower half of those tragic results!

#13 – Jermaine Jackson

Jermaine-JacksonWhen the words “Jackson” and “plastic surgery” are used in the same sentence people’s minds will usually think of Michael, but his operations aren’t a surprise to anyone. What might come as a shock, however, is finding out that Jackson’s older and slightly less popular brother has gone under the knife for some less severe changes. Jermaine has undergone some skin alterations to try and remedy some of the same problems his brother faced, and he got a nose job so that his face looked a bit less smudged.

Unlike many celebs Jermaine doesn’t shy away from his surgical past, and he sees his cosmetic work as a testament to his life’s achievements; he worked hard to get where he was, and now he can enjoy the luxury of being able to correct some of his genetic imperfections. You’ve got to have respect for someone that can stand by their decisions, but it’s usually the guys in the background who are the most forward. Why is Jermaine such a rad dude? We’re not quite sure, but we’ll blame it on the boogie.

#12 – Enrique Iglesias

Known for his mole (oh, and his singing too!), Enrique Iglesias seems to have been around for forever, despite not even being 40 years old yet. Thanks to his outstanding performances in both Spanish and English, Iglesias became an international sensation of the 90s; known by many as the “King of Latin Pop,” the Spanish heartthrob continues to make waves in the entertainment industry: not only as a singer, but also as a songwriter and actor as well.

Looking at the before and after pictures of Iglesias, many people get the impression that this plastic surgery story is a complete hoax, but look again! While his face may appear to be the same (yes, even his nose and chin), one important thing is missing from Enrique’s face: his mole! In a brief five-minute procedure at the plastic surgeon’s office, Iglesias had his mole removed in what might be considered the least dramatic plastic surgery procedure in the history of Hollywood! Hey, at least he didn’t end up looking like Kenny Rogers or Ray Liotta!

#11 – Jean Claude Van Damme

Jean-Claude-Van-DammeVan Damme may look like he tried to fight a weed whacker with his face, but I still wouldn’t start any trouble with him; even though he’s an actor he is also a talented martial artist, and most of his film stunts aren’t actually stunts at all. Van Damme was never a Hollywood heart throb, but he was determined to hold on to whatever good looks he had as he got older even though it seems to have had quite the opposite effect.

Jean Claude underwent a Facelift and eyelid surgery in an effort to keep his face as tight as his body, but the result has left his face a little pinched; he has yet to comment on his cosmetic work, but it’s not like the media is crawling all over him these days anyways. Besides, it’s awfully difficult to make fun of a guy who literally did the splits between two trucks for a commercial: someone that crazy might not take too kindly to being asked personal questions.

#10 – Burt Reynolds

“I mustache you a question.” With his signature facial hair and rugged good looks, Burt Reynolds has starred in just about every genre of movie from dramas and comedies, all the way to feel-good sports films. A two-time Golden Globe recipient, Reynolds is now partially retired thanks to a lifetime of leading roles in films like “Deliverance,” “Smokey and the Bandit,” and “The Longest Yard.”

Since it’s been well over a decade since Reynolds first emerged from his plastic surgery, revisiting the before and after photos of this mustached man is quite a shocking sight. Why couldn’t we just forget? Reynolds debuted his new look at the 2005 Super Bowl, appearing completely different thanks to a series of Botox injections that made his face look paralyzed and leather-like. As if the Botox wasn’t enough, Reynolds also opted to remove the bags under his eyes: a procedure known as Blepharoplasty; while we may have forgotten the horror of this plastic surgery flop, we’ll never forget the Bandit who ran away with our hearts in a high-speed chase back in 1977.

#9 – Steven Tyler

Steven-TylerYou might have known that Tyler has had surgery (I mean his face looks like rubber after all), but you probably didn’t know just how extensive his work has been. Let me start out by saying that Tyler is as talented as they come, but when aging marks somehow miraculously disappear from your face it’s bound to raise a few questions. When Steven was asked about whether he had facial enhancements he had himself a hearty laugh, saying that he knew it would come up eventually and that he wasn’t disappointed with the work.

Whether Tyler’s cosmetic surgery was a positive boost depends on who you ask, but he certainly looks vastly different than he did in his youth; the American Idol judge had a facelift and Botox injections to slow down the progression of his prominent facial lines. When you’re a rock star like Steven Tyler you have to do what you can to stay camera ready, and do you honestly think the lead singer of Aerosmith is going anywhere anytime soon? Dream on!

#8 – Howard Stern

For the past 40 years Howard Stern has filled the airways around the world, as he followed his childhood dream of becoming a beloved radio personality. With his first start in radio, Stern acted as a safe show host until he found his own unique voice and became the national hit we know today. Bouncing around from station to station, Howard has finally settled in at Sirius XM Radio with his own show: “The Howard Stern Show,” and is now paid handsomely for his efforts.

With growing fortune and fame, Stern decided to focus more on his looks in 2006 when he opted for plastic surgery to fix his nose. Known for wearing sunglasses around the clock, Stern had chin split scars removed from his nose, and underwent a series of facelifts that he felt would give him the confidence to no longer need to hide behind dark glasses. Although it hasn’t yet been confirmed, many critics believe that Stern also had hair transplant surgery to help ensure that his black and curly head of hair wouldn’t recede over time. That’s what I call having a face for radio!

#7 – Michael Douglas

Michael-DouglasWhen you think about stars getting cosmetic surgery done you probably imagine them in some kind of medical facility that’s filled with all kinds of expensive equipment, but Michael Douglas not only had his work done in a hotel room, he had significant surgery done mere weeks before the birth of his child! Douglas simply doesn’t look young anymore, but being in front of the camera can put a lot of pressure on you, and as a result he has continued to receive face augmentations to keep him looking presentable.

Michael is actually quite insecure about his wrinkle lines, so a combination of Botox and other facial augments has helped in keeping them at bay, but just how long does the star expect to fend off the aging process? Unfortunately for him Douglas looks as old as he is (71) and there isn’t much left he can do to keep his face smooth: if he wants to stay wrinkle free in his eighties and keep getting facelifts he’ll need to bring in some rather heavy duty construction equipment!

#6 – Carrot Top

Who is Scott Thompson again? While that name might not ring a bell for you, the name “Carrot Top” will likely leave everyone nodding and smiling (or frowning) in immediate recognition. Becoming a big name in comedy during the early 90s, Carrot’s unique look and style of prop comedy set a trend, as audiences flocked to watch their favorite redheaded comedian.

Like many other names on our list, Carrot seemingly vanished for years until he reemerged with a completely new look. Despite keeping his familiar wild and curly hair, the comedian had obviously discovered the gym, as his new appearance revealed a toner and more muscled man. But, that wasn’t all! Carrot also opted for numerous plastic surgeries which transformed his entire face, with cheekbone and jawbone reconstruction being at the top of the list. With laser treatments and chemical peels, Carrot’s entire demeanor is different, which the funny man says is a result of his makeup: Come on, we may laugh at his jokes but does he really think we’re that dumb?

#5 – George Clooney

George-ClooneyGeorge Clooney is like the most handsome older guy out there, but this matured hunk of a man didn’t get his devilish good looks all on his own: he needed a little outside help to stay on his A-game. Clooney has spoken out about plastic surgery for man, saying that it’s no good and only makes them look older than they actually are, but it seems he might be talking from personal experience: the A-list star has undergone eyelid surgery, and he is still able to melt a girl’s heart from across the room.

It’s easy to speak out about plastic surgery when you look as dashing as Clooney is maybe he is on to something; his “enhancements” didn’t really improve on his appearance all that much and truthfully it probably wasn’t worth the cost of the operation. I have my doubts that George will maintain his stance on cosmetics as he approaches his late 60s and begins losing his gorgeous looks, but maybe he’ll get tired of all the female attention he receives and he’ll decide that he needs a break from it all.

#4 – Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson

Starting out in football and wrestling, and then moving to the big screen, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has become one of the busiest and highest paid actors in Hollywood. Following in his father’s footsteps, Johnson pursued a career in professional wrestling, from which he retired in 1999 after finding a great deal of success. After being bit by the acting bug, Dwayne has since taken the world by storm in one of the best transitions of his entire career.

Of course, with a move from the wrestling ring to the world of Hollywood, Johnson felt that he needed to look more like a star; diagnosed with gynecomastia, an increase of fat in a male’s chest, Johnson was self-conscious of his looks, and worked harder than ever before to get rid of the fat. Despite countless hours at the gym, Johnson struggled to overcome his issue, and opted instead to have liposuction to get rid of the excess fat: now with his chiseled good looks, even Johnson can be confident whenever he has to appear shirtless on the movie screen.

#3 – Clay Aiken

Clay-AikenClay Aiken was the “American Idol” that never was, but even after his narrow loss to Ruben Studdard he still continued to chase his dream of becoming an all-American performer. When Aiken’s career didn’t turn out like he had initially planned he started taking any decent gig came his way, and before long he found himself starring in “The Celebrity Apprentice.” Aiken looked vastly different on “The Celebrity Apprentice” than he did during his singing days, and he had no problem admitting that he had plastic surgery to thank for his upgrade.

Aiken suffered from Temporomandibular joint dysfunction, which is condition that results in pain and compromised movement in the jaw; in order to correct his ailment he needed to g under the knife and have his jaw realigned: he figured since he was already going to be unconscious he might as well have some work done while he was there. Clay had some fat sucked out of chin and he is looking like he has barely aged. I can’t say much about Aiken’s career, but if he has one thing going for him it’s that he ages like a vampire.

#2 – Axl Rose

Axl-RoseAxl is the lead singer of the classic rock band “Guns N Roses,” but he is living proof that every rose has its thorns. Axl Rose used to be quite the musical heartthrob and nowadays he is anything but: he has been the subject of major criticism during his recent live appearances, and it has resulted in the star taking several hiatuses to recollect himself. All of the negative attention that Axl has received has caused him to question his dedication to the music industry, and in order to keep doing what he loved he felt in necessary to seek out a little cosmetic help.

Axl received a facelift and Botox injections to try and combat his body’s sagging and wrinkles but the result wasn’t as flattering as he had originally intended; weight loss and drug use took their toll, and some things simply cannot be undone. In a final ditch effort to stave off his body’s gradual deterioration Rose had some chemical peeling done on his face to freshen up his look. Despite his efforts Axl just isn’t getting the same love he used to: welcome to the jungle of Hollywood, man!

#1 – LL Cool Jay

LL-Cool-JayLL Cool Jay certainly hasn’t kept his cool in regards to accusations of plastic surgery and steroids: he has lashed out against the allegations by claiming that he (like so many other celebs in denial) has simply aged incredibly well. LL Cool Jay (whose real name is James Todd) has become increasingly aggressive towards his skeptics, and has said that people who doubt his hard work aren’t real fans, and that if they would put the Twinkie down and work harder they could have his results as well.

James claims that is currently lifting 315 pounds, and that he will do a thousand sit ups to work out, but unfortunately for Mr. Todd no amount of weight lifting is going to give you a nose job. Further signs of hypocrisy from Cool Jay arose when a mysterious scar appeared on his stomach, but he has remained adamant that no liposuction or cosmetic surgery has occurred, instead claiming the scar is the result of having an appendix removed. The truth regarding Todd’s plastic surgery is still a bit ambiguous but I certainly wouldn’t broach the subject with him: he seems a bit testy and he might look forward to performing one of hit songs, “Mama Said Knock You Out.”
